More From the Fall...Glorious Fall!

Here are some favorites/day in the life pics from the past month or two...
Beautiful sunrise on a morning run

Good times with the Roorda boys. Shawna and the kids came to town when Tim was speaking at the OshKosh fall retreat.

Reading with the boys at school (Crosby's face!!)

A trip with four kids to the grocery store. Not for the faint of heart!
Walking the boys to school has been a highlight of mine this fall!
 School pics!
 Homework time!
We have logged in so much time in the backyard...soccer, kickball, raking, jumping in the leaves. Ahhhhh!
 Beautiful sky:)
On Saturday Ava was getting fussy and I decided to take her for a walk in the stroller. These two wanted to come and we ended up exploring around the golf course. They kept biking down the dyke hills and having a blast!
And this is a classic night at the Spark house. Cooper pulled his pants up. Declared that he looked like a boxer...fast forward 1 minute. There you go!

Foster Care Journey-Meet Ava

**Just as a reminder this blog is private so I can include pictures of our foster kids but please don't repost them!
Meet Ava! She is 2 and has been with our family for about a month now. She is tiny and loud! Energetic and sweet! We love her and she is a handful:)
The boys love her and insist on picking her up all the time despite the fact that she screams in protest!

She seems to be adjusting well and although it is challenging at times, we are all adjusting too. Please pray for her and her family.

Crosby's 5th Birthday

Crosby's 5th birthday fell on the Sunday of fall retreat. Around 100 college student sang Happy Birthday to him and HE THOUGHT IT WAS THE COOLEST THING EVER!! We went out to lunch at Applebees in Devil Lake with our staff team with the plan to celebrate as a family the next day. Crosby asked us to take him to Fargo to Chuck E Cheese's. He also asked for it to be just our family:)
The boys all had a blast. I'm continually amazed at what an easier stage of life we are in. We just gave each boy a cup of coins and off they went:)
Presents! It's still a 3 boy event in this household.
And a birthday facetime session with Shannon and the girls! I can't believe our baby is 5. What is happening?? Crosby is still the most loving, tenderhearted kid. He loves to snuggle, wrestle with Tim, do seek-n-find books, play Pokemon Go, and help with whatever we need help with. He is such a servant! Crosby, we LOVE you!!

Fall Soccer

Soccer was such a joy this fall! Carter and Cooper were on the same team and Crosby decided not to play so maybe it just felt simpler this time around. Probably the last time that will happen but we enjoyed it!
Cros was a great fan and still like to wear his jersey once in a while:)
The boys each had some good friends/classmates on their team. Fun to see them developing some friendships!
They are both very competitive and aggressive. It was SO FUN to watch them play, hustle, and enjoy the game.
We had Ava with us for the 2nd part of the season. All she wanted to do was run on the field which was quite stressful so we tried to get her to stay in her stroller. Thankfully lots of the players older sisters wanted to help out!
 Buddies!
Here's the team! Jace, Carter, Easton, Brody, Cooper, Jaxson, Matthew, Gabe, Brayden, Damon and Cayden.
