Cousins

Carter finally got to meet Sawyer, his first cousin...hopefully of many! (Cooper met her when we flew back for Clare and Jesse's wedding) He still isn't "into" babies too much but one day soon the three cousins are going to love playing together!

Big Boy Bed

We got back from Colorado AIA Project on Friday after being gone for 8 weeks. We decided to transition Carter to his big boy bed right away being that he didn't even remember his crib. The first 3 days he didn't get out of bed once! The other day I found him sneaking out of bed to get a book. Hopefully he'll continue to stay put because we are moving Cooper into the nursery very soon!!

Carter and Zoe

Carter was so blessed to spend the summer with Zoe Higginbotham! The Higgs family lived right below us so the two toddlers got time together every day. They shared a babysitter during our staff meetings multiple times and week and shared toys and tears as well when they didn't really want to share toys:)

Freedom!

Happy 4th of July! Grandma Mimi bought Cooper a cute little patriotic outfit:) We went to a 4th of July picnic at the church we are attending in Colorado. The kids were both in bed long before the fireworks so we just watched them off of the balcony of our apartment.

Milestone-Cooper is Rolling Over!

Cooper started rolling over from his back to his belly this week. I will lay him down for a nap or at night and when I check up on him he has normally rolled over and is asleep on his stomach. Here is a little peek at our Coops doing his thing!

Carter is 23 Months Old!!

It's hard to believe that our little baby is almost two! Here are some fun things from this past month:
-Carter still LOVES playing with cards (credit cards, business cards, playing cards, etc.)
-He regularly cracks himself up:)
-He will be busy doing something and then all the sudden become inspired to jump around. He is getting pretty good air these days and is quite proud of himself!
-He has picked up on some phrases around the Summer Project like 'Danggit!' and 'Oh my gosh!'. I stubbed my toe the other day and said, 'OUCH'. Carter looked and me and said 'DANGGIT' at the top of his lungs.
-Carter loves trying to put the buckles together on his booster seat and stroller. He will clip them together and then ask for help undoing them so he can do it again.
-He got his 2nd hair cut this month and did great with the clippers. It helps that I cut Tim's hair right before his and he watched his dad be so brave:)
-Carter also likes to fake cough and then says, "Carty has a little cough". Not sure where he got that one from.
-He also really likes hummus lately which is fun!
-Winnie the Pooh is his new favorite cartoon/character.
One more month and he will be two!!!

Cooper is 5 Months Old!!

I know I say this every month but time sure is flying by! Cooper is 5 months old and still smiles and laughs all the time. He is so alert these days and loves watching his brother run around. He also grew out of his swaddler and pacifier this month! We'll see if they make a come back...but hopefully not:) He consistently rolls over from his back to his stomach-no more laying him down wherever we want to! We flew back to Minneapolis last weekend and he did pretty good on the flight. It is a lot harder for him to fall asleep in my arms lately so that was a bit tricky but eventually he gave in. He is still on a 3 hour feeding schedule and unfortunately isn't sleeping through the night as much. He will bless us with a full night's sleep about twice a week though:) I really can't complain!
