Boys Get Trampled

The boys have been begging me to take them to see Uncle Dave play with TBT. FINALLY!!! They came to Fargo in August and although Tim couldn't come because of a Cru event, we brought some other friends and had a great time!
Laura was the first friend I met in Grand Forks back in 2005. We've been dear friends ever since and our kids are now friends!
The Turtles put on a great show and Dave even gave a shout out to the boys! It was fun watching the boys jump around to their music!

Roorda Visit

Shortly after we returned from The Shore a huge storm came through Grand Forks and took town our neighbors tree. It tore our power and internet lines down and we had some water coming through our ceiling. Not the most fun thing to come home too!!
Our dear friends the Roordas had planned to come up and visit us before Luke deployed with the Air Force National Guard. Thankfully the power came back on before they arrived and Luke was helpful with some of the clean up/fix up projects!
The first night we went downtown to one of our favorite spots, Rhombus Brewery.
Luke gave the boys ninja stars with a cool target to throw at!
We got our the slip-n-slide and water balloons, went to a park, played lots of lazer tag, and build PVC piping guns (Tim's fun project for the boys). What a great visit with some amazing people!!

Spring Stuff:)

We recently bought a used minivan and for one of our test drives, we brought the boys along. I love this picture of the big boys at the little table:)
A couple of kids from our church were in a middle school musical that we attended with our neighbors. It was actually a really impressive rendition of the Adamms Family! The boys loved it!
We planned a Family Fun Day one Saturday this spring. We let the boys brainstorm ideas and gave them a budget. I envisioned the process being more fun that it was (3 boys with strong opinions=conflict) but the day ended up being enjoyable! We went to Northern Air and jumped on the trampolines. Then did a mantinee (Coops and I went to A Wrinkle in Time and the rest saw Peter Rabbit). We ended with dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We filled in the time with some free things like going to the pet store at the mall and browsing at Target. All in all it was a great day!!
A very typical scene in our house. Dance party! Boys without shirts on:)
We had a couple of mega storms this winter. The boys always make the most of it!
We met up with some friends and brought some friends for the Easter Treasure Box Journey. The boys were so crazy during the hour wait but then settled in nicely for the Easter story:)
Afterwards, Cooper ran up this snow hill, jumped down and lost his shoe! The church found it a month later when the snow started to melt!
This has been a month long Lego project the boys have been working on!
Finally some nice weather! And a driveway dance party!!
Luke Roorda came to town and offered to help with our boys one afternoon so I could get some work done. He even brought one of their buddies along on the adventure!
Saturday morning wrestle mania!! Love these crazy boys!

Easter at the Roordas

We decided to mix things up a bit this year and spent Easter with our dear friends in Sioux Falls. We've dubbed ourselves the Spoordas!! We had such a great weekend-the kids got along great, we played lots of games and spent a ton of time talking and catching up!! It was a bonus to celebrate the holiday together too!
After a brutal winter it was great to be able to play outside!
Boys chowing down at the bar!
We played outside at a park for a whole afternoon. This was the first our boys had played on a park since October!!!
Posing for pics downtown. The dads win!!
Shawna Marie!!
Luke and Tim planned out an Easter Egg hunt extravaganza. The boys were knighted and given a mission to find specific eggs...
...but first, a potty break!! hahahahaha
Part 1 was a success..then Luke planned a Part 2 that involved golden eggs and clues.
They had to work together to find a pirate's chest with more treats! So fun!! We did read from the Bible and talk about all that Jesus did for us too:)
Church at Embrace! What a great weekend. It was hard to leave. Love those Roordas!!!!!
