Good Bye Colorado Project!

Here are the last couple pics and vids from Colorado...
A typical scenario...3 boys on Dad!
The boys are waaaaay into Superheros lately. They shoot webs at each other, they play with their Avengers figurines, and now they are creating houses and garages for their Superheroes out of legos. I live in a BOYS world!!!
The boys loved playing with Zoe and Titus this summer. Zoe can keep up with our boys in every way. When the 3 of them are together it is LOUD and FUN!

Face Paint!

Before we left Summer Project we had a staff family picnic and the kids got their faces painted. Cooper asked for a cow and school bus (two of his favorite things). Carter chose a super-hero mask with a fish and snake on his arms...random!

Hiking in the Foothills

I know these are a bit old but I'm behind! All the kids are asleep and the Olympics are on so here we go:) During our last week in Colorado, our dear family friend Kimmy came to visit and help us out. We decided to brave it and go on a little hike with the kiddos.
Cros seemed to enjoy his ride in the backpack.
 So sweet!
Although it was a pretty short hike, the boys did great and loved it! Carter wanted to lead the whole time..such a first born!
Coops tried hard to keep up:)
When we got back to our car there was a bus in the parking lot. Cooper LOVES buses and freaked out!

The 4th of July

The 4th of July with 3 young kids...what should we do? We went back and forth on our plans and finally decided to stay in Fort Collins to watch their 100 Years of Transportation Parade. Is was short and sweet and the only problem for Carter was that they didn't throw much candy! (A boy after my own heart)
Quite a few of our project friends joined us. Three families...10 kids...good times!
The boys cheered on Tim as he helped push a stalled car! "Go Daddy, Go Daddy, Go!!"
Good times! Afterwards we took to boys to Sonic to get slushies and then we went to the pool in the afternoon. There were no fireworks in Fort Collins this year due to the Colorado fires but by the time the boys went to bed, Tim and I were soooo tired anyways!

Crosby is 9 Months!

9 Months! 3/4 of a year! What?!
Cros LOVES to eat! We are feeding him solids twice a day and he will throw down whatever we give him! We have also given him puffs to munch on and whenever he sees the box, he goes CRAZY!
 Another mama-razzi self-photo:)
 Go Hawks!
Crosby loves his tongue and making noises with his mouth!
So sweet! In the past month he has gone from scooting to crawling. He reverts back to scooting some days but for the most part he is up moving. He has gotten 4 teeth in the past month with 2 more almost popping through. Tim has taken him on multiple middle of the night drives to calm him down as it has been quite painful:( He has also started pulling himself up onto things. Slow down Cros-you are growing up too fast!!!

Buds

Can I say again what a sweet joy it is to see these boys become friends? Of course they fight and pick on each other but they play and stick up for each other too. The other day at the Project House Carter was wrestling with a couple of the other staff boys. They were 10 and 12 years old and have really loved on our boys and were "play wrestling" with Carter. Cooper saw it and ran over, pulled on Carter's legs trying to free him, and yelled "let my brother go!!" It was so sweet seeing our dear 2-year-old try to protect his older brother!
Dad took these two to their first movie in the theater the other day, Kung Fu Panda II. They both sat all the way through it and seemed to really enjoy it!

Sidewalk Paint

My dear friend Mandy organized a little toddler craft time the other day-sidewalk paint! She found a recipe on Pinterest (of course) and the kids loved it! They not only painted the sidewalk but rocks, leaves and their bodies:) I am soooo bummed I didn't get an after shot-they were COVERED in paint, head to toes! I'm thankful for a friend that pushes me outside of my box and picks a totally messy and chaotic craft. The kids LOVED it:)
