Veggies Tales

This video is a month or two old but I thought it was still worth posting. We've got an entertainer on our hands!

Visit from Mimi and Grandpa

We were blessed with back-to-back weekends with the Grandparents! This past weekend Mimi and Grandpa came up to Grand Forks to help us with the boys being that it was our Fellowship Banquet weekend. They brought the boys Fighting Sioux hats that were a hit!
Cooper actually kept his on for a while.
And Carter actually smiled for a picture!!
The boys love their grandparents!! Look at those smiles:)
Grandpa loves to give horsey rides and the boys really get into it. I even got a short video below...
Thanks for coming Mimi and Grandpa!! Come again soon:)

Cooper is Walking!!

Up until last weekend Cooper hasn't wanted to walk on his own much. He would sometimes walk if you held his hands and he walked a lot around the furniture but didn't seem interested in trying it on his own. This past weekend, when Mimi and Grandpa were in town, he took a couple steps and today he just TOOK OFF!! Way to go Coops!

Carter is 2 Years + 8 Months!

I get a big smile on my face when I do these monthly updates...so fun to think back and remember the funny things our boys do and say!

We have continued our quest to potty train Carter. When he goes in his potty he gets a little treat. He always wants to put it in his penguin, so it is now known as "Pee Pee Penguin". I think he is making some progress but man it is SLOW!
Maybe it is a 2-year old thing but I can't get Carter to smile for pictures anymore...this is what I get.
Carter is so creative. When playing alone we'll hear him making up stories, having conversations with stuffed animals, or creating some sort of game. This was his latest creation-a race track for cars and balls that went down the stairs and into the puppet tent. This entertained him for hours!
Papa and Nana came to visit last weekend and Carter wanted to wear Papa's shoes and glasses all weekend. It was pretty entertaining:)

Here are some other highlights from this month:
-We can finally get outside and Carter loves "puddle jumping". He gets soaked but it is so fun!
-He also has become a fan of back scratches. If I scratch his back and then stop, he will grab my hand and put it back on his back:)
-We make frequent trips to the library as he LOVES books. His favorites from this past month were Flat Stanley, How I Became a Pirate, and the Sesame Street dictionary.
-Carter does not like to go to bed with a messy room. I have tried to put him in bed and if there are toys on the ground he will ask me to pick them up! Wow...

And some funny things that Carter says:
-When referring to something we did the previous day or night he will say, "yesternight".
-After each meal and snack he yells out, "I ate it ALL"!!
-At various points in the day he will comment, "We are having a great day today"!
-When I ask him what he is doing or what is on his face he replies, "anything" instead of nothing or something:)
-Also, his first response to any question you ask is, "I don't know". Then he'll give it a minute and give an answer.

Cooper is 1 Year + 2 Months!

Where did the past month go??
Still no walking and not much talking for our little guy...but he is going to be a big brother!
Cooper loves to eat! In fact, he will now eat everything-books, kleenex boxes, etc. We have got to keep an eye on this guy!!
He didn't really appreciate our hat party as much as I had hoped:)
Cooper is a climber. He climbs into things-boxes, the bathtub, the laundry basket. He climbs up onto things-just the other day I turned around and found him on the arm of the couch trying to get up onto the window ledge...heart attack!!

He is adventuresome and fun loving and boy does he keep us on our toes!
