Foster Care Journey-Meet Ava

**Just as a reminder this blog is private so I can include pictures of our foster kids but please don't repost them!

Meet Ava! She is 2 and has been with our family for about a month now. She is tiny and loud! Energetic and sweet! We love her and she is a handful:) 

 The boys love her and insist on picking her up all the time despite the fact that she screams in protest!  

 

She seems to be adjusting well and although it is challenging at times, we are all adjusting too. Please pray for her and her family.

Foster Care Journey Continues

**I am only posting pictures of our foster placements because this is a private blog that only a handful of you can see:)

We decided that we were going to do respite foster care this spring instead of taking a long-term placement. We were gone most of January and are leaving for 6 weeks this summer for our assignment in NJ. We had Sophia again earlier in the year and have been waiting for another placement. Finally we got the call to take a 5 week old girl, Addie for a week. We had no idea what to expect but it went SO WELL!!

 I had forgotten how sleepy babies are! Addie was able to sleep right in the midst of all of our chaos:) She is such a content and adorable little girl.

 We all fell in love! (Although I might have the most!!) The boys were great helpers and thought she was "so cute" but also "so boring"! 

 We love you Addie!

Foster Care Journey

We are officially licensed to be foster parents! We had our first placement in December with a 3 1/2 year old girl. 

The day she came to stay with us, Cros and I got some girl bedding and set up her new room. He anxiously waiting for quite a while until she finally arrived. We were so proud of the boys in how the sacrificially loved her. Crosby gave up his room and Carter moved down to the basement even though he was a bit scared. They shared their toys and were so patient and protective of her!
