We had our annual Fall Retreat last weekend at Lakewood Park Bible Camp in Devils Lake, ND. Around 100 students joined us from 3 campuses (UND, Crookston and Mayville State). It was a great weekend where students were challenged from the Word, grew in community and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather! Our boys absolutely LOVED their time at the camp and with the college students. This is such a blessing to us as we spend lots of time at conferences and retreats:)
The boys loved hanging out in the chapel before meetings when the worship band was practicing. Sometimes they would dance in the back and other times Cooper and Carter just listened intently in the front row. Crosby loved wrestling with our staff guy, Jake!
I helped plan and lead a women's time on Saturday night. It was fun getting time with the students and getting to do some teaching. I just happened to be dressed like one of the students and our new staff girl:)
There are two parks on the camp ground that made for hours of play time outside! Or as the boys call it, "Ninja Training".
A sweet moment where big brother Carter helped the younger two across the street.
The camp also has an 18 hold putt-putt golf course. The boys loved golfing as well as jumping off the obstacles:)
The final morning we played a game with the students called "Capture the Campus". It's a learning activity where the staff and some leaders were trying to tag and distract students from reaching their goals or target areas. It was made to simulate spiritual warfare and other distractions from ministry. It was great to teach in a different way and the boys really loved getting to dress in black and essentially play "tag" for an hour and a half!
Our group minus me and the boys.
The drive home....Cooper and Crosby put their blankets over their heads and were asleep within 10 minutes! They were so wiped out but what an incredible weekend!
