Guess Who? Part Three...

At around 7 months the boys don't look quite as similar anymore...but they both have those blue eyes, chubby cheeks and adorable smiles:)

Digital Art

Nana asked me if I wanted to save Carter's first finger painting masterpieces. I decided I would just take a picture instead. I'm sure these are the first of many pictures of the kid's art!

Another Cabin Weekend!

We had a Carroll family reunion last weekend! Everybody was able to make it up North including Dave's girlfriend, Michelle (or Natalie as Bud affectionately calls her). We ate great food, celebrated Carter's birthday, played games and enjoyed each other. I love our family:)

Finger painting with Nana

Both boys are looking at the camera at the same time....crazy!

Story time with Nana

The proud grandparents:)

We decided to get outside on Sunday and take some family pics...all the babies did great!

Carter Turns TWO!! (Part 4)

Carter had his 3rd birthday party (celebrating his 2nd year of life) last weekend at my parent's cabin. Nana and Shannon planned a Mickey Mouse themed party with balloons, a banner, Mickey table cloth, etc. He seems to be getting the hang of being the center of attention!

Carter Turns TWO!! (Part 3)

Our blue eyed, freckle faced, curly haired boy is definitly two!! Here are a couple of his latest sayings and activities:
-He started to gallop recently and it is quite entertaining
-He loves the words, "no" and "stop it"...which we are trying to redirect to "no, thank you" :)
-Carter often asks (in the sweetest voice), "what's wrong mommy?" or "what's wrong Cooper?"
-He'll say in the most expresive voice, "LOOK at all the _____" (fill in the blank with people, cards, animals, books, etc.). Whenever he sees a lot of one thing he gets very excited.
-Carter will say multiple times a day, "I know who that is"...which either can mean just that or mean "who is that?". He says it while going through flash cards or Sesame Street and Winnie the Pooh or while reading books, etc.
-He loves singing and being sung to. He recent favorites are the ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle, the Birthday Song (he asks for us to sing it to all the Sesame Street characters...so cute), and the Wheels on the Bus.

Cooper's 1st Solid Food

It was a tag team effort to feed both boys dinner the other night! Cooper seemed a little confused about what we were putting in his mouth but he got a lot of the rice cereal down and even seemed to enjoy it!

Shooting Hoops

Some good friends from church gave us their basketball hoop the other day. Carter has been asking daily to go outside and play hoops. I'm sure it will provide fun for years to come:)

Carter Turns TWO!! (Part 2)

We celebrated Carter's birthday with Mimi Bev and Grandpy when we were in Stillwater (a couple of days before his actual birth date). He loved the ice cream pie, Big Bird book, 4 wheeler and all the attention!! Thanks Mimi and Grandpy!

Carter Turns TWO!!

We officially have a two year old on our hands:) Carter turned two on Thursday and the first words out of his mouth were, "No! Stop it!" We did end up having a great day though:) We took him to Walmart where he picked out a couple of gifts-a set of plastic golf clubs and an elmo book. Then we took him to the dollar store (Tim's favorite place to shop) and he picked out some Toy Story tatoos and a tool set. He is very into tools these days as his new favorite show is Handy Manny! After that we went to the splash park and for dinner had his favorite meal of mac 'n cheese and hot dogs. We ended the day with cup cakes and by the pics you can tell he really enjoyed them! What a great day-we LOVE you Carter!!

Songs and Stories

We had quite the entertainment on our drive home from our vacation!!

Cooper's 6 Month Check Up

I didn't think I would be saying this again but we still have a little guy on our hands:) He has nice big rolls on his legs, his face is round and his wrists look like they have rubber bands around them, but he is still on the small side!
Height: 24 3/4 inches-5%
Weight: 16 pounds, 8.9 ounces-30%
Head: 16 3/4 inches-20%

Vacation

We just got home from a family vacation in Minnesota. The first part of the week we were in Edina with my family and the second part of the week we were in Stillwater with Tim's family and then Park Rapids for the Spark Family Open. The boys always love seeing their grandparents, aunts, uncles and new cousin, Sawyer! Tim and I even got to go on a couple of dates which was GREAT!

Feeding the ducks at Centennial Parks

Quality time with Sawyer

The proud grandparents with their growing clan of grandchildren

Cooper loved playing with Uncle Dave's beard:)

We took Carter to the coolest bookstore ever! There was a story and song time, lots of animals, little chairs and so many books. I could have stayed all day!!

We took the boys on lots of walks. Carter is rulin' with his shades!

Yay for oreos!

Swimming at Mimi and Grandpa's house

Cooper had his first taste of frosting. I think he liked it!
Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures at the Spark Open:( It was great to see the Spark extended family and be on a lake for a couple of days. Carter loved playing in the sand but was a little leary of the water. It was a nice vacation but it's always nice to be home too!

Cousins

Carter finally got to meet Sawyer, his first cousin...hopefully of many! (Cooper met her when we flew back for Clare and Jesse's wedding) He still isn't "into" babies too much but one day soon the three cousins are going to love playing together!

Big Boy Bed

We got back from Colorado AIA Project on Friday after being gone for 8 weeks. We decided to transition Carter to his big boy bed right away being that he didn't even remember his crib. The first 3 days he didn't get out of bed once! The other day I found him sneaking out of bed to get a book. Hopefully he'll continue to stay put because we are moving Cooper into the nursery very soon!!
