Snow Days

We've had a couple of snow days this winter that our boys have thoroughly enjoyed!!

Snow Days!

We got hit by a blizzard that dumped over 16 inches of snow over the course of 3 days. The boys were home from school on Tuesday and Wednesday and had SO MUCH FUN playing outside!

 We played over at Tyson's house for a couple of hours. Ava had fun with Taryn. 

 Thankfully Tim was in town and operated the snow blower for countless hours. 

 When we were inside the boys found lots to do to entertain themselves:) 

But the definitely preferred to be outside:)

The Snow Mountain

Winter is here! But it's been so mild that the boys have played outside after school for about an hour each day. They love this snow hill off to the side of the church parking lot.

 They usually have some friends join them but we are almost ALWAYS the last ones there! 

 They love running up the hill and jumping off or sliding down. I'm amazed that this one hill has given them hours and hours of entertainment! 

 Sweet brothers! 

Hot blooded. I know it's been "warm" but shorts and no jacket?? They insist they are warm enough!

Days like these I wish we had a mud room!

And nothing like finishing off the afternoon with some hot cocoa!

Winter Fun-Sledding and Snow

We have had an unusually mild January. What a blessing!! We've taken advantage of the nice weather and have been playing outside whenever we can. The boys are loving the little hill by our house. It is so crazy to me that we have three boys that can all carry their own sleds up the hill. They are growing up fast!

They love tying their sleds together. I love the bonding!

I wish I could capture the pure joy. The boys kept saying, "THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF OUR LIFE!!"

 I love watching them play and seeing what creative ideas they come up with. One minute they are building forts and the next they are playing "tiger" or some other random game. So fun!

Playing in the Snow

It got so cold in January that it was weeks since we had played outside. Finally it hit 10 degrees and we bundled up and headed outside. This week has been even warmer and we've played outside more often. Finally!! I'm sure it won't last but we'll take it when it comes:)

 And dear Cros can't wait until he can actually maneuver around in his boots. So far it is too hard to walk and he just chills in the wagon or on the sled. What a good sport!
