Halloween 2015

A friend from church has given us pumpkins the past couple of years but this is the first year we decided to carve one!
This is my favorite...Carter concentrating with his tongue out and Cooper dancing like a crazy man.
It was messy and fun and we'll do it again!
Two Optimus Primes and a ninja. We didn't know what they were going to be until the afternoon. We have so many costumes in the dress up box that we just told them to pick one:)
It was pretty chilly and windy so they didn't last too long but they sure brought home a load of treats!

Halloween

Candy and costumes...two of my boy's favorite things!
Cooper got to dress up for pre-school and wanted to be Batman AND Robin:)
For trick-or-treating the boys decided to be Woody, Buzz and Andy from Toy Story. I had been pushing for this for some time but never thought they would all agree to it. They surprise me every once in a while! I asked Cooper to give me a couple of cowboy shots and he struck lots of poses!
 My sweet Buzz!
The trio all set to walk around the block. It was chillllllly. We made it around the block and Carter begged to go home. In fairness they didn't want jackets because it would mess up their costumes:)
Kimmie came with us and we were both pretty pumped by the loot the kids got!
Tim and I have eaten far more candy than the boys have in the past couple of days:) This should last us until March!

Halloween 2013

The boys have been talking about Halloween for about 8 months now. Finally! And the weather was beautiful too.
I wish I would have gotten pics of all the boys individually but only Crosby would pose for me:)
Before heading out...Carter is our 5 year old Spider Man, Cooper is our 3 year old Ninja Turtle (Rafael to be exact), and Cros is our 2 year old horse. This costume has made it through all 3 kids!
We just walked around the block for an hour or so. Cros did a pretty good job of keeping up with his brothers and wooing all the people we met.
Our loot. Right away the boys combined all their candy and wanted to share it. I've been giving away as much as I can but we still have an insane amount. Sort of a bad idea for this sweet tooth mama!! After visiting neighbors we got in the van and went around to our staff team friends. They wanted to see the boys in their costumes and the boys liked showing off (and getting MORE candy:)). Fun night!

Halloween 2012

We took part in a couple different festivities this year. Grand Forks puts on a little event for kids the night before Halloween. Games, candy, chaos. Carter has talked about being a pirate all fall and right before we left, he insisted he wanted to be Batman. Alright!
So hear are Batman and Robin...the amazing, crime-fighting duo!
 Craft time
It is harder to do crafts with your mask on, but better for protecting your identity!
 Take that, bad guys!
On Halloween day, our good friend Kimmy brought us to the nursing home where she works. Carter decided he wanted to be a rocket and Coops wanted to wear the outfit dad brought back from East Asia. You can't really tell but Crosby is in a matching outfit.
I thought we were just going to say hello to some of the people in the nursing home but it turned out to be a crazy candy give-away. They boys loved it! I'm hoping we can go back when they could interact more with the people...some day:)
I didn't even end up getting and pictures from that night when we went around the neighborhood. I actually stayed home with Crosby because it was so cold. Tim said a highlight was that Cooper never said Trick-or-Treat. Instead he asked everybody how their day was and if they had any pets! How cute is that??!!
