Go Twins!
Shannon and Bud got the boys some Twins gear for the summer! I don't dress them the same too often but isn't it cute??!! Carter is quick to shout out "BASEBALL" whenever Tim has a game on TV:)

Cabin Hopping Vacation
After students finished up with finals we decided to take a couple days of vacation to see both of our families before we leave for the summer. Our first stop was the Carroll cabin. The boys had lots of fun with Nana and Papa. Carter especially loved running down the hill to the lake. He would get completely out of control, fall down and got all scratched up but he kept doing it! He also found some nice big rocks that he liked to sit on. We realized by day two that this was where he was "taking care of business" :) Inside the cabin he enjoyed playing with the kindling. I've stopping trying to figure out what toys Carter will enjoy because the most random things will entertain him!
Our second stop was at the Spark cabin. The boys got spoiled with love from Mimi and Grandpa. Carter loved driving the boat and jumping on the neighbors trampoline. He was in his lifevest for a couple days straight:)
Wouldn't you want to read a book with your lifevest and shades on??
It was a crazy 6 1/2 hour drive home on Wednesday but we made it:) We are so thankful for our families!!
Under Armour
Bev found these biker shorts at Good Will for Carter! And why not?? Every 22 month old boy needs a pair of spandex shorts right?!
Cooper's 4 Month Check Up
Although he isn't officially 4 months yet, we scheduled Cooper's check up today because we'll be leaving town for the summer on Monday! He is still our Mini Cooper:
Height: 23 2/4 inches (20%)
Weight: 13 pounds, 11.6 ounces (35%)
Head: 35%
Also, we found out he has a double ear infection:( He hardly has fussed about it either.

Mother's Day 2010
For a long as a can remember I have wanted to be a mom. What a blessing it is to have two sweet boys-true gifts from the Lord! On this day (as on most days) I am thankful to the Lord who gives life. I can't imagine life without my boys who bring such joy and delight to each day. Thank you Lord!!
Tim tried to get Carter to say, "Happy Mothers Day". Instead he said, "Happy Mommy"!! Adorable and true:)

Carter at 21 Months
Carter continues to entertain us! Here are a couple new things:
-He recently developed a love for his blue blanket and asks for it all the time. Tim does NOT like this:)
-His favorite toys are his Sesame Street cards and Crayola pens. He would prefer to just carry the pens around rather than draw though.
-He will walk into a room and loudly say, "Hi!" or "Hello!" in the sweetest voice:)
-He often says, "Laluloo" which means I love you. When we were driving home from Iowa last weekend we overheard him saying, "I love you mom, I love you dad, I love you mom...." I started crying it was so sweet:)
-He also says "I LIKE it" very passionately when he is enjoying something
-He was making monkey noises the other day and I asked him what monkeys ate. He thought about it for a second and then yelled out, "PASTA!"
-Carter loves to be hugged and recently will try to get our whole family together for group hugs. He wraps his arms around Tim and me and hold tightly...so sweet!
Tim's uncle owns a print store and had this picture of Carter blow up on sticky paper (below). Carter loves looking at himself but it still freaks me out a bit!

For some reason Carter has started to dislike when I take the camera out. You can see that he is passionately enjoying life until he realizes he's being filmed:)

Sesame Street Flash Cards
Carter's new favorite "toy" is a deck of Sesame Street flash cards. Tim picked this up at the Dollar Store one afternoon a month or so ago and it is the 2nd thing Carter asks for each day (after milk). He flips through them, naming all of his favorites. He stacks them neatly and then throws them around the room. It is so bizarre to me, but it is really the only thing he consistently plays with each day (and it is multiple times a day too)! Here is a little video proving it:)
